I usually plant my slips in pots or flats when I receive them, as it's
generally a couple of weeks before I'm confident that we won't get a late
frost. I keep them in the greenhouse with the rest of my transplants, though
I keep them well-shaded for the first couple of days and then gradually
increase the light exposure over the next two or three days.

My sweet potato slips arrived today. It has been cool and rainy all
week and I will not be able to get them in the ground for a while.
Should I put the slips in water? Put them somewhere cool? or warm?
Thanks.
