I planted spinach et al. on March 21st on some well-drained, sandy-gravelly
soil here. Most of it got row-covered, but about 75' didn't. I noticed that
the uncovered emerged first, perhaps due to the insulating effect of the
cover, holding the cold in/keeping the warmth out from some unseasonably warm
days. I also noticed tip burn in the spinach. I thought it might have been
slow N uptake due to the cold of the other than unseasonably warm days. Is
that a possibility or more likely to be Ca?

I never would have known your note was thumb-typed, Allan!

Hmm
Could this be boron deficiency?
