Since bean weavils can be controlled by freezing the bean seeds for 3 weeks prior to planting, would this also work to kill off pea weavils? Is it the same pest or at least similar?
I don't know the answer but I think it might be worth a test, especially if organic pea seed is going to be difficult to find.
Freezing bean seeds is common practice among seed savers and is intended for storage as well as to kill off bean weavil larvae.
