We have had a similar experience to Frank.  We have used T-tape and Jain/Chapin in the past and used either the fold method or used screw on (tape lock) end caps.  This year we also got Bowsmith from Robert Marvel and the starter (barb x tape-loc) as well as the end caps (tape lock or fold and slip method) both leak a lot, not the amount of one emmiter - but more like 10 times that.  We're trying to figure out how to resolve the problem at least for this year with the drip tape we have.  Frank - what kind of valve did you put on?  anyone else have ideas on how to help fix this problem?

We have also done the fold method like everyone else has told you and yes it
does drip a little.  We always used Queen Gill tape, but last year we bought
a roll of Bowsmith drip tape from Robert Marvel as they stopped carrying
Queen Gill and the ends leaked tremendously no matter what we tried.  We
ended up having to put a valve on the ends.
