This winter we had a great discussion on deer fencing. Where can one find the posts for the 10 foot deer fencing?

Since our fields are surrounded by forest we generally just nail, staple,  tack it to the trees.  However, occasionally we do need posts and the local co-op has recently started selling 10 ft T posts.

Its important to fasten the bottom of the fence to the ground, deer are just as likely to attempt to crawl under as jump over a high fence.  Since our soil does a superlative job of growing rocks we just pick up one of the nearby five pounders and put it on top of the half foot we leave on the bottom however if your soil does a poor job of growing rocks Gemplers (and other on-line stores sell 6 inch anchoring pins you can use to hold it to the ground.
