I'm not sure how much risk you face, but I know that some vermiculite is
mined in areas that also yield asbestos. At the minimum I would encourage you
to wear a very good respiratory filter when handling vermiculite. You might
also want to contact the company who packages it for assurnace it does not
contain ANY asbestos.
