I will work on getting ahold Liz. I am seeing why knowledge is power, my dad, a military man, was always saying " get to know your enemy" I guess this is what he meant :-P

Unfortunately, there isn't a direct link between heat unit development and corn 
earworm egg-laying because the bulk of the population comes from storms that 
bring them up from the south. The heat unit accumulation does have other values 
though and are worth correlating to the crop development and timing succession 
plantings. I'm pretty sure Purdue's fruiit and vegetable specialists publish 
some info during the growing season. You might want to look up Dr. Liz Maynard 
and contact her to see what's available. She's a great resource for Indiana 
vegetable growers, including organic producers.
