I use to plant Big Chile, but Tomato Growers Supply stopped carrying it last year.  So I bought Sahuaro the said it was an improved Big Chile.  Well I agree with you Bill, I want Big Chile back.  I was not happy with it at all.  The pods weren't very big and there weren't that many of them.  Big Chile, grew it the previous 2 years, always had numerous pods and they were huge.

I did notice that Big Chile was listed again on the Tomato Growers website this morning.

New Mexico State University has a great pepper breeding program. That's where Big Jim came from, as well as a bunch of others. Try to grow several of them and see which does best for you. I used to grow Big Chile from Johnny's but they stopped carrying it. They have Big Chile II now, but I'm not as happy with it.
