New Mexico State University has a great pepper breeding program. That's where
Big Jim came from, as well as a bunch of others. Try to grow several of them
and see which does best for you. I used to grow Big Chile from Johnny's but
they stopped carrying it. They have Big Chile II now, but I'm not as happy
with it.
