I read somewhere that the best garlic for my area would come from a local
grower. So, I bought 20 pounds from a fellow grower at our market. The
problem is all of the bulbs are very small, about the size of a nickel. The
large ones were on top, hiding all the small ones underneath. My question
is: are these small bulbs too small to plant? Can they be planted whole?, Or
do I throw them away, and never buy anything from this particular vendor
again?
In some of the planting instructions I received from bulbs ordered it says
that the minimum bulb planting size should be 1 1/2 inches.

Thanks,
