A couple things you can try that I have used sucessfully in the past. When tractor layed low tunnels became popular back in the 80's we made them with 3/16" x 72" steel rods that we bent by hand and stuck into the ground over the beds. Later I tried using 3/8" rebar bent into A frames and set over the beds. This method was the best though the roughness of the rebar cuts up the poly over time. If you want to invest in the rebar style I would recommend covering the bar with black poly tubing before bending. The poly will protect the covering... Bob.

Check out this recent article by Coleman in Mother earth News.
At the end, Mother has plans for a homeade bender that looks fairly simple to make.

Extend the growing season for cold-hardy crops with a very late
season harvest or overwinter them for earliest possible Spring

electrical conduit (EMT) to withstand brutal fall winds and heavy
winter snow loads. 1/2" conduit is recommended for most applications,

electrical supply house for about $2
