I use white clover between rows and sometimes as a living mulch...works quite well.  I have good germination in 14 to 20 days from the clover usually without added irrigation.  Being perennial, it does not winter kill.

I drilled the oats at 7 inched when I planted them.  I forget the planting rate but I went a little higher than the table onthe planter recommended.  I also used the grass box to plant clover at the same time but the clover never came up.

When is the best time to plant clover?  I've heard planting it in the late Fall for spring germination is good.  I haven't had good luck with clover in the past but I have some Dwarf White clover I'd like to plant between the vegetable beds, any suggestions?
