I am far from educate d on anything and if I were rock solid on not wanting anything from semenis
just because it is a property of Monsanto I would choose my vairieties and then check the products at the Seminis web site. You might need to keep in mind, however, that something like 95% of the worlds plant genetics are held in 4 or 6 hands, and all of those do GMO's.



I spent an interesting evening at a New England Conference on seed saving with Rob Johnston, CRLawn, and others. Rob aka Johnny has a handy little book on seed saving ( under $5.00 at Johnnys or Fedco) and the subject turned to selecting from hybrids and "back selecting" till you have a variety that suits your purpose and
your climate and even your farm. As long as it is not a patented variety you are free to do so. The further I go the more I look to open pollinated.
