I bought a Marshalltown no.57 trowel to plant strawberries 24 years ago and
have since planted tens of thousands of plants with it though I don't weed
with it. It still looks like new, no rust. I bought a cheaper hardware store
trowel and it lasted one day... Bob.

Those are margin trowels. I was a concrete finisher when I was young and had
several. They are really handy tools for close work, and inexpensive. The
steel is usually really good quality to hold up to concrete work.
