I wonder what the organic certifiers think of waxed rutabaga. Do you melt the wax and dip the roots in it?

An organic certifier would never be invited here!
Melted 2/3 of a #10 can of parafin in a pot of hot water on the stove. Used dry wall screws turned about 3 turns by hand into the stem, to dip them quickly and place on a fridge rack to drain, with 4 screws the first was dry enough to handle so it was a quick rotation. Took less time to do than to tell, and much less wax than I would have thought but the coat is thicker than those at the supermarket.
