I use a nylon netting that comes in any length and is 4ft. wide.  I just guide the plants in and out weaving them in and out of the 6” squares of the netting.  1x3 posts (or any posts) stuck in the ground work.  I use a piece of ¾ wood strapping on top.  Instead of tying the netting I just weave the top piece of strapping in and out.  It’s quicker to setup that way.  I had a hard time finding this netting at first.  It lasts for a few years.  It looks like a lot of vendors are carrying it now.

Hope this helps

Need some input on growing cucumbers on trellis. We grow pickling cucumbers about .5 acre per planting. Labor cost for harvest is getting real costly, I thought maybe we could pick faster and have cleaner fruit if trellised. What is your ideas.? Thanks Bill
