Willie,
I grow a decent amount of Jersey Knight here in southeast Wyoming. I get great yields off of 3 year old plants. So far there have been no problems with hardiness. We had many nights at
-29 this winter though so I am not sure how the asparagus survived. It does not usually come up here for several more weeks.

I've been doing asparagus now for 10-15 years. In the past couple of
years, it has become more attractive price and demand wise. So, I'm
thinking of planting more. I have now UC157 and Purple Passion, all of
which I grew from seed.
I've been looking at:
http://www.jerseyasparagus.com
and am thinking of trying to get some crowns of Jersey Knight or Jersey
King (advertised to be "warm" climate varieties) in this season.

I seek advice, comments, and non-spamming sources.
