After selling for years at a tailgate market, I started selling at one
where I had to unload and bring tables and shade. (EZ Up worked great for
shade!)

I started with a 2 level display that I made from what I had- sawhorses & a
plywood piece for upper level and milk crates and a narrow plywood piece
for lower. These were bulky and hard to load and unload.

Then I did some work with my brother (a carpenter) and he used a couple of
old hollow core doors with folding legs attached for a miter saw stand and
work table on job sites. I bought a couple of lightweight doors at a
salvage yard, folding legs at Harbor Freight Tools and I had 2 tables that
were light and easy to carry and set up alone.

I also built a removeable frame out of scrap 1-bys that I could put in my
truck bed. This created a "rack" to hold the tables above my containers of
produce so I could unload them first at the market, then my table cloths,
then the baskets and produce containers. I could also load in reverse
order at the end of the day. I went with an open frame so I could load
produce containers with it in place, then slide in the tables on top. I
made it tall enough for my tall Rubbermaid containers to slide under.
