I was able to keep my former goats in a 4 strand
electric fence. These goats I want to move around to
target their grazing. Anyone here keep them in
electric netting such as the poultry fencing Premier
makes?? We've already got several rolls of it and it's
very easy to relocate even on a daily basis.

Liz, we raise goats in Premiere fencing. They are pastured all year.
We have 85 acres here and in two years they haven't been on the same place twice.
They are on pasture all year and brought down at the end of November/ the beginning of December and kept down at the barn until they kid. They are fed a beautiful organic high protein hay during that time.
We have over 100 goats, with Saanen dairy goats, Nigerian dwarves for butterfat, purebred Boers and percentages.
We also have a large number of bucks that we keep here.
We have different groups of goats out on pastures.
We are on a state wide study of parasites on small ruminants and pasture soil quality and analysis.

We also have different guard animals that we use.
We have Great Pyrenees and llamas that live with our goats.
And we have American Working farm collies that run the whole farm, herding, guarding and working nonstop.

We also raise chickens behind netting too. Meat and egg layers. And turkeys.
Oh, and sheep behind netting.
And we have pastured milk fed pork too that we use hot wire for and rotate their fencing.

If you have any questions for me, feel free to email me and ask.
