Hi Jeff,

From what I have read and experienced with green shoulders on tomato fruit (on fruit that are supposed to be 100% red like BigBeef) it is caused by a mix of factors, chief among them potassium levels, high heat, low foliage cover (from leaf diseases), and possibly irrigation.  If you are growing tomatoes in the same year your potassium may be low (easy to check) or if you have hi phosphorus levels sometimes that can interfere with K uptake.

Greetings- In the past, we have had spectacular luck with Big Beef in our tunnels. However, the last two years- not so great. Lots of yellow shoulders. I know that this is often a function of the tunnels being too hot, but none of our variables have changed. Any thoughts?

Also, I am wondering what other varieties folks have had good luck with in tunnels? We are seeking varieties under 75 days that do not sacrifice flavor. Thanks for your input.
