Wouldn't the Metal Frame Be in the ground? If so, it's grounded and It would be acting like a grounding rod by design. Keep in mind that I'm no electrician, ( I have frizzy hair at times to prove it!).

We are out on the flat and treeless plains of SE Wyoming. Our high tunnel is definately the highest thing around and has been through many severe lightning storms without a strike. Not sure why but all seems to be fine!
