Two thoughts:

Have you looked into those bird screachers? The unit is programed with multiple bird sounds, usually one predator (hawks for around here) and then a distress call of the 'target' birds (robin, greckle, etc - which ever you choose). Most require 110 volts but I beleive there are also 12 volt units.

Wonder if stringing up fishing line would work as is done in Florida to keep seagulls away. They string a grid of fishing line up, they after several gulls wipe out hitting it, they tell the others (somehow) that the area is dangerous.

Hi Bob and generous folks in this listserve:

Thank you all for all the great ideas you shared with me. It was funny
I did not think of cats. Yeah, in most farms I've visited, there were
dogs (mostly for ag theft issues) but no cats. I'll try old CD disks;
this may work for a while. Mylar did not work when we tried it. Cannon
noise may bring the policemen around, so this won't work. Some of the
immigrant farmers are weary of other people coming to their farms so
they try not to draw people into their farm operations, except a few
trusted ones.
Thank you very much. And if ever you learn something that might
work against birds, please let me know. Aloha, Sabina

I have used propane cannons for many years, one cannon will take
care of about
5 acres. Some birds get used to the noise but 99% fly away... Bob.
