The first thing you need to do is determine your GDD growing degree days
for the spot you want to grow in. Some seed companies will give you the
GDD to maturity for a certain variety. You can use your average GDD as a
way of determining whether a variety will perform in your area. The
disadvantage of cool season crops growing in hot climates is the bitter
taste these plants get which will turn off your customers... Bob.
