We used to have this problem especially with some of the older folk who
mainly came to the market to socialize and give stuff to their neighbors.
In small town rural America we really can't resort to heavy handed stuff.
We carefully explained that the other vendors were getting their only
income from the market and undercutting only hurt everyone in the end. In
our new rules we state...no undercutting...vendors are instructed to check
with the rest of the market vendors for current prices on similar products
and adjust as necessary. Reselling in not allowed.
