Our state frowns on taxes being included in the price because it makes the customer "feel" like they aren't being charged sales tax.  Oh well, we're used to it.

Alison,
I have a nifty calculator that has a tax - button. I just charge $3.00 for something (including the tax) and at the end of market I back it out of my total. So I price accordingly. The big difference is that I pay tax on food and non-food items alike.
