I envision sitting facing the row of veggies with my feet resting on a bar
with knees bent - back rest too. The plants will pass under the bent knees
as I move sideways down the row. Will need to protect legs somehow, but
don't see that as a problem. Basket should be between feet, for easy
access. Frame of cart should be in the shape of an upside down U or A frame
to let plants go through. Golf cart motor and speed control sounds good.
Any other ideas?

Would you be picking from the left and right or front? How much ground
clearance would it need? Speed control would have to be worked out. Seems
like a winner. I have to pace myself with backache, even with much smaller
plantings. Forget bush beans. Argghh.
