Hi Allan!
I look forward to hearing about your inoculant that didn't appear to
have life in it! I lived for some 26 years in Sacramento, where i was
gardening teacher for our Public Waldorf Methods School - we always used
Peaceful Valley Products ( right up the mtn, from Sacramento) and i
heartily recommend that company. Wish they were closer to Kentucky!
Have you contacted them about this?? They are good folk who may replace
that inoculant if it was dead. It would seem that you could still take
care of that crop by watering new stuff in with a live culture of the
stuff. I have heard that once you do it, that it all it takes to have
that strain present in the soil.
Please let us know if you contact Peaceful Valley and what their
response is.
I am going to add another field to my vegie growing next year and am
about ready to legume seed and inoculate - if i can get the neighbor to
come and prep the soil, asap ( many hours trade for computer repair
services)!!
Good Luck!
