In reading up on planting asparagus, the experts recomend removing female
plants once you've identified them, then, the following year,
transplanting the male plants to their final home.
How critical is this? Does the advantage of having all male plants
outweigh the additional labor and risk of transplanting them?
I'm about to transplant asparagus into the garden that I started in the
greenhouse from our own seed.
Thanks!
