Very well said, Mike. I agree totally. The problem with the
simple-minded NPK formulation "discovered" in the last century isn't going
to go away very quickly. It's just like supermarkets aren't going to go
away quickly either. All we can do is move towards what we want and do
what we can with the resources we have available. Obviously, simply being
mindful of the fact that using "artificial" fertilizers isn't enough. But
if we continue to make little changes to our behavior, eventually we'll
get to where we want to be -- in this case, it's SUSTAINABLE.
