Any thoughts/advice you can share will be appreciated. I've grown stuff in
my yard but never on a farm scale. As a NOFA member, I've attended
workshops on various aspects of farming, from the business end of things to
understanding crop pests, but this is all book learning rather than hands
on.

I'm in the market for a house, so I put out some feelers for a farm and
discovered a land trust that will sell a farm house and outbuildings to a
farmer along with the option to lease the surrounding acreage. Herbs and
cut flowers were what I had in mind although I'd certainly grow some veggies
and would love to have fruit, too.

Provided the land trust is willing to let a newbie farmer buy the place, am
I totally crazy to even be thinking of jumping right into farming this
way???

Thanks!

Marj
