We currently use a '93 Ford Explorer and tow a small uncovered trailer to market (6' x10' with 4' sides). All of the produce is packed in boxes or coolers and all of the delicate items ride in the back of the Explorer. We have an old pickup for general farm use but it does not travel far. I use my trailer to haul hay, take chickens to processing, pickup feed, and transport spent grains from the local microbrewery. The amazing thing is that my husbands Father built this trailer over 20 years ago to haul his motorcycles to races! Take about long use vehicle! I am currently restoring a 1972 International TravelAll to use as a market vehicle within the next 2 years. The bed on it is larger than most pickups and I am planning on some sort of refrigerated storage. It will be repainted and have our farm name and logo added.
