Leigh,

Glad to see your knowledge extends beyond
wood burning. (-:

One of your main contrary arguments against
building alternatives is that they have up front
costs and you want someone else to defray
those costs for you.

Well, the IRS allows you to deduct the cost of
electric power generation for your farm through
depreciation. Business interest is still deductible
and externally supplied energy costs are still
rising. A fixed rate loan gets cheaper over time
when inflation is brought into the calculation.

Don't look for any assistance out of DC on
alternative energy. Too many extraction
industry freaks for that. That's why we're
loading up for Iraq, remember?
