Bob - I've done this many times, fortunately, unfortunately. 4 acres translates, give or take roads, greenhouse, sheds, etc, equals approximately 1acres of actually tilled 100x4ft beds. you dont' till them all in one day. If you are lucky, you don't do them all in one season.
Better a tiller than a spade and a fork, I aways say. But I will till these beds, and then gutter them, putting the gutter material upon the crown of the bed, which I will till into some version of tilth.
