Businesses should be in the business of trying to profit. Period. I'm
tired of those businesses out there that think the taxpayers ought to make
up for their losses.

I'm sorry folks, but some farmers are some of those businesses. And I don't
want to get into that one because, the reasons are well understood. Those
of you who are too small to qualify for some of those price supports
understand this very well.

I work along with many of those corporate types. But primarily in health
care - some manufacturing. They come in all shapes and sizes, lacking
integrity and having some. Some of them ought to be lined up and shot.
They are no friends to humanity. Others are walking a thin line. Trying to
maintain respect for their workforce and remain profitable. The best thing
any business can do, basically, for its workers is remain profitable.

When it comes to making money, there are many people who have no integrity.

Anyone in south Texas? Any farmers wondering where all the irrigation water
has gone. Mexican farmers want it to make their own profits. To hell with
Texas agriculture, eh? With NAFTA we're flooded with their produce and at
whose costs? Ours. Mexico can drain the Rio Grande and farms in south
Texas will fold without irrigation. Who cares? It's profit but not for
many south Texas farmers.

Del Williams
"Just one small market grower whose little farm goes up for sale next June.
Not for lack of success at growing good produce. Lack of livable profit.
I'm sure gonna miss it."
