Has anybody noticed their chard with almost a disease on the stalk. I have
no clue what it is but all my chard more on the yellow than red has
blemishes all over the stalk.
any clues?

I can't imagine not watering chard here. It seems to crave a lot of
water or get rather wilty soon.
Unrelated to the above, I've noticed a number of 'rogues' in the most
recent planting. They have HUGE beet-like roots that protrude above
ground. Strangely, their tops are identical to those of their
surrunding 'beet-less' sister plants.
