Adam,
After raising raspberries for more than 30 years I wonder what all the fuss
is about the plants spreading. Sure, they will send up new plants from the
roots (suckers) but these are readily contained with a bit of cultivation.
If you have the time for adding some value to your crop it's easy to dig up,
pot and sell the new plants (be sure to get some of the main plant root
along with the roots of the new plant).
