Ahhh Marcie, you know I'm a peace loving soul. But.......

This is true.

Up until last week we were sending quite a bit of aid.

Too many Afghanis would probably die before saturation was reached. It is
now against the law to have these machines.

handing over terrorists in their midst.

I'm sure there are a lot of Afghans that would like them gone as well.

IF reports prove true there already are a lot of well fed people from
terrorists organizations out there. A full stomach is not going to stop a
fanatic
The Taliban are taken care of. It is the citizens of Afghan that are
hungry. And who should become civilized? The Taliban or the Afghani's ?.
The Afghans seem pretty civilized to me. We don't have the same world view
I imagine. One of my closest friends in high school was a girl from Syria.
Her family became my second.
Although we were very close there were fundamental differences in our
approach to life. Occasionaly it got in the way, but not often. That's
what I would ask.

No, we need to get rid of killers and let the rest of the world solve their
problems as how they see fit. That's not to say we shouldn't offer aid if
necessary, but to demand people think the way we do is
>just a bit chauvenistic.

I'm not sure how this should happen. It is in the foremost of my thoughts
that it is done intelligently, compassionately and efficiently.

Take care,

PS. On a personal note, and I know I'm using list space, I haven't
answered your last note because I spilled a "liquid" on the keyboard and had
to get it replaced. I wanted to before this tragedy but put it off because
of time but am now feeling compelled to maintain and touch base with all
important to me. I will as soon as time slows down for me. Aside from
these days, I hope things are going well for you.
