Willie, you are a man after my own heart. I have five computers - two
dedicated dos machines, a WIN3.1, a WIN95 and a WIN98SE. Can't make myself
trash an old computer. I use FRAMEWORK IV on the dos machines and other dos
programs (even on the WIN95). Wordperfect 5 for dos was a great program, so
is dbase III+ and dbase 4 for dos. The 386dx and the 486 that run my dos
progs are as fast as anything...with their miniscule hard drives and limited
RAM compared to the WIN98 system.

I started working on Unix mainframes back in the late 1980's and am enamored
with LINUX whenever I've had contact with it. My financial commitment to
windows is more a result of client preference than any desire to support
microsoft. Outside of the 3-D graphics capabilities I have with certain win
programs, I certainly prefer the simplicity and speed of processing with my
dos machines. Try and tell that to someone who thinks dos was a pain in the
ass.

Anyway, I salute you. Thanks for the info and thanks for the kick in the
butt to look more closely at LINUX again. I do read the LINUX publications
and always think, oh my. What have I done?
