We used the Stella Natura for a couple of years and found that one
should NEVER plant during a full moon or a new moon. I have found
weeding during these times will kill weeds dead for 5 to 8 weeks. Last
year I weeded the shallots and chard during the new moon and didn't need
to do the shallots again until about a week from harvest when finally
weed seedlings were poking their little heads up. The chard did not stay
as clean but the weeds there didn't come back for 3 weeks. I was amazed
and wish I had done much more weeding that day.
I hope your father has a full recovery Jacqueline. It is tough to lose a
parent as I found out this past fall when my mom had a massive stroke
and died 6 days later. It's been hard but life does go on as our gardens
insists on telling us.
