I was told the same thing last year when I bought our new Kobota. I didn't believe it either and I went for the tractor without it and I am perfectly happy. I shopped around, looking at half a dozen other tractors, before I bought the Kabota and everyone tried to sell their hydrostatic transmissions. Mostly, though, they couldn't tell me why it was better. I don't see how it could possible make the tractor much easier to handle. Definitely, in my opinion, not worth the money.
Yes, the valley trader sure has a lot of used tractors.
