Yes. I've heard it from more than one government official, some of them
fairly high-ranking. Along with the idea of forming economic trading units
(US + Canada + Mexico + S. and C. America, Asian Rim countries + Australia,
etc.). It seems to be one of the agendas behind all the trade agreements at
present. Nevermind that it makes us so vulnerable on so many fronts. . .
