The holey stuff worked okay, but not as well as I remembered the slitted
plastic working.

used the slitted plastic for basil, melons things like that, they are put
out when temps are getting warm, although I haven't done melons with that
for awhile. This year they will be in the greenhouse. A few years when I
had peas going and the temp dropped into the 20's I filled jugs with water
and placed them under plastic cloches I had. This was a small area, about
500 sq ft. I wouldn't do it now.
