I may not have the spelling right but a Marremma (nope that isn't right,
someone correct me) is suppose to also be an excellent guard dog. I went
several times to the farm where I bought our GP and his parents only
barked when they felt the goats were threatened by our approach. They
didn't have to worry--no way I'd bother a goat guarded by a deep
barking/ growling 125 lb. anxious looking dog. THat DEEP bark/growl
sounds so much more intimidating!
