I have some that we grew out this summer. It is from a long staple
whiteXshort staple brown. You get two color plants - green and maroon and
two colors of fibre, but both colors fibre from both colors plants. The
cotton is either white or brown, 3/4" staple, beautiful luster. We can
select seed from either the brown or the white cotton - you'll still
probably get a mix of color, but dominantly white from the white, brown from
the brown. We intend to continue selection toward the brown. We are
certified organic. The cotton was grown with composted chicken manure for
extra fertility, and with no irrigation in our severe drought. WE got about
15 lbs from two 50' rows. We have not ginned it yet, but would be willing
to separate out seed for folks who are interested. We have bought the green
from SESE and plan to grow it out this year. We'll price the seed we have
the same as Southern Exposure if anyone is interested.
