I'm trying to login using the link on the step 2 page- where it says: "Log
in". Is that to log into a blog? I must have assumed it was for
administration.
As for the other link on the page: "System options control panel:" I get a
404.
Thanks for helping.

Are you trying to log in to a blog, or into the system admin area? The
admin account setup does not count as a blog account.

I'm a newbie when it comes to running a site- I'm learning as I go.
I'm trying to install the latest Lyceum nightly build, and I get to the
end of step 2, where the page says:
***
Second Step
Now we're going to create the database tables and fill them with some
default data.
*Finished!*
Usernameadmin ...***
However, when I try to log in, the system tells me that user admin doesn't
exist. What did I do wrong? Is there a file storing this data that I can
change manually? That last one might be a strange question, but as I
mentioned I'm complete newbie.
The error I get when I try to log in is "*Error*: Wrong username."
Thanks for any help.
