personally do barefoot hoof trimming for horses, which I love doing; if we go back to a horse-and-buggy lifestyle, I would have as much work as I could handle (since now we know horses can perform and work without having to suffer the debilitating effects of shoeing).
I would be interested to learn more about working horses without shoeing Barbara. We work horses on the land without shoes but our Irish roads are very rough, like a stone rasp almost. Anything special you can do for that?
