I think one our biggest problems is the mindset that it can't be done,
powerlessness. We can not be sure of the outcomes but we really have little
choice but to move forward in the right direction.

Actually a lot of the developed countries have already stopped growing their
populations and are actually in decline numbers wise. Here in Colombia the
trends are in the right direction as they are in many other countries.

I think we need to be confidant and unapologetic in how we teach others about
the need for and urgency of change. The information is heavily weighted on
our side. You would be amazed to see just how much this kind if thinking has
penetrated in Colombia at all levels. The government here actually supports
small farmers, organic growers and small communities, this with money and
regulation. If Colombia can do it, so can the States.
