When the field fence is stretched tight, it won't sag. It comes in different gauge wire, but the stuff I use for my sheep would not support tomatoes very well.  I make my tomato cages from concrete reinforcing panels.

Understood. I've never thought of anyone wanting to move field fence. It seems moving any kind of fence that's strong enough to hold animals in or out would be a challenge to say the least. I don't understand about sagging. We pass by a large field near the Sandia tribal resort that's fenced with field fence to hold their herd of bison on the Res. The posts are railroad ties maybe fifteen feet apart, but no support for sagging. If there were a problem I'd imagine bison would make it obvious since they don't respect any kind of fence.
