Like the phrase do not let school get in the way of a good education

Agree also. I'm 65 and I've learned more in the last ten
years than all the time before, including growing up with cattle in E.TX
and TX A&M. Some of my education has come from this list for which I
thank some of you. We have friends who home school and it's interesting how
confident and self sufficient the kids are. Remember so called public
schools are government schools in every sense. And the self sufficiency and
homemaking skills that will be needed in the near future aren't taught in
schools - how could they be? What school teaches how to slash grocery bills
by cooking from the basic unpackaged foods? Or how to produce your own food
or shelter? What ever happened to Home Ec classes?
