This has been a VERY hot and dry summer, and discouraging with regard to growing food. However, I had a cantaloupe volunteer that has been fine through the heat and drought. I've never thought to grow cantaloupe in my small garden because it takes too much space. Now I'm wondering if I can grow cantaloupe through the summer where the beans were. What say ye?
If that canteloupe volunteer did so well, I'd save some seeds from it and see if you can grow some more of them. Sounds like it has something special.
